frequently asked questions - group rides

If you have a bike and some positive energy, you can RIDEWITUS! We welcome all riders. There are no official or specific membership requirements at this time. For now, just come out and have a good time. There's strength in numbers!

RWU hosts group rides four to six times per month.  Weekly schedules are posted here on the website and IG  (@ridewitus_la )  every Monday.  All riders are encouraged to wear  a  helmet,  use  bike  lights,  and  stay  hydrated. 

We are RIDEWITUS....LA!! Among other things, the goal is to explore Los Angeles TOGETHER. Meeting locations  vary from week to week but  remain primarily in the Los Angeles area. The ride will always end where it starts. 

Don't worry! We got you. We realize all riders ride at different levels, speeds, and with different goals in mind. If you fall behind, get a flat, or feel fatigue - we won't just leave you. Let a RWU Leader know, and we'll make sure you're taken care of.

Nope! We welcome all bike types and riders. Beach cruisers are allowed, but not recommended if you are not comfortable riding it for an extended period of time. Pedal-assist e-bikes are allowed. If your "bike" has a loud motor or requires gas, this is not the ride for you. Sorry!

Don't be nervous or scared. RWU welcomes new riders with open arms.  Once you're here, you're family.  Before you come, make sure your bike is in rideable condition. Do you have air in your tires? Is your chain in good condition? Brakes in working order? Contact the shop at 323-949-8655 if you need service.  

Please make sure you take your bike in for service regularly to keep it in proper working order. All riders should have lights on their bike. Its always a great idea to carry a spare tube for your sized tire. Flats happen all the time. Having your own tube will help tremendously. We have people to help you change it.
